Jenny’s Style #iPPP

Posted on Jul 18, 2012 in life, My Girls | 14 comments

Jenny’s a very fashionable girl, and she’s always interested in new clothes and defining her own style. I went out on a limb and got her a couple outfits that weren’t on her Justice wishlist for her birthday (and gave them to her a few days early when she found the Old Navy bag in my car), so we thought it would be fun to share a couple pictures of her in the new outfits that I picked out for her and her thoughts about them.

What I like about this is that both the shirt and skirt are very soft, so it’s very comfortable and stylish.

The reason I said this is a style for me is because I’ve been into skirts lately and tucking the shirts into them. Also, ever since I got my phone yesterday, this is all I’ve been doing. So if you ever see me in any outfit, this is probably what I will look like. With my phone.

This outfit all goes together. It looks very formal, besides the flip flops, but they’re very nice flip flops. And they do match the tank top. That’s how it all goes together. I like this outfit. The only difference between this one and the other one is that the sweater’s buttoned, so it’s a very different style.

I don’t like this outfit this way, but it’s kind of funny that it can be a very cute outfit or by the fact that the tank top is so long it can go down over the skirt and make it look like one of those ugly dresses that you would see one of the stepsisters in Cinderella wearing, and I’m taking this from experience because it’s just like the dresses in one of the Another Cinderella Story movies. That’s why I don’t like this outfit this way.

Some other clothes that are my style are from Justice.

I like this because I’ve been into skirts recently, and I like there to be a band in the middle separating it from the shirt, so that’s why I like this skirt. And it’s a pretty color.

I like this one because it’d be cool to wear when it’s really hot because you won’t get as hot and it’s cute.

I like this one because I like ruffles, so it’s cute. And it’s a tank top, and I like tank tops.

I like this because it would go well with a bunch of stuff and it’d be comfortable.

I like this because it’s cute and I like two-pieces.

I like this because it’s bright, colorful, and it stands out.

So, in summary, I’d say she likes cute clothes.

Linking up for #iPPP since those first few pictures were taken with my phone.

  1. I love that Jenny is taking over the blog during her birthday week. It has been fun hanging out with her. I can’t believe that my Ash is only a year away from going into middle school. Jenny is the type of girl that I wish Ash had as a friend.
Jenny, you are super cute & look awesome in every outfit…even the stepsisters outfit. I hope your birthday is a whole lot of fun!

    • Thanks, Kristen! I bet Jenny and Ash would be good friends :)

  2. I love this. I hope Jenny starts her own style blog one day.

    • Maybe she will. It would probably include a lot of cute clothes :) We’re excited to see you tonight!

  3. I’m so excited to live vicariously through ny daughters with their cute clothes! Jenny is awesome…my favorite is the phone picture. Ha!!

    • I know – Jenny can wear stuff I definitely wouldn’t be comfortable wearing myself. And I’m pretty sure that phone picture is how she’s going to look all the time now :)

  4. Jenny has pretty much become my favorite older blogging daughter. When will she be old enough to babysit, and how can I talk you into moving closer? :)

    • She’s trying to get us to leave her alone with the baby all the time now – I think she’s close to ready :) But I kind of doubt we’ll be moving your way any time soon. Or that we will ever move from this city. Or this house for that matter. but hey, if you’re ever in North Carolina, feel free to drop Monkey off and go out and have a great time!

  5. How cute is she? And I love that she is blogging!

    • Thanks, Farrah. I think she’s pretty cute :)

  6. Jenny, I love your style! I need you to come dress me!

    • She doesn’t always approve of my style :)

  7. Too cute. How old is your daughter? Mine is 11 and she is only interested in t-shirts and shorts. And now she is obsessed with tank tops with the bra strap showing. Makes me crazy. How lucky for you your daughter likes to look cute.

    • She just turned 11 yesterday! She actually hates to have her bra straps showing, and I’m kind of hoping it stays that way :)
