Here’s a picture of the shirt that Reagan wore to school for day 2 (I failed to get a really good picture this morning):
It came with a washable marker so that she can actually write the things she thinks are awesome on it – and then wash and repeat. She knew immediately she had to have this shirt when we walked into Justice for back to school shopping last week. (And then Jenny was not so secretly angry that she didn’t notice it first.)
So what did Reagan write on her shirt for the second day of school?
Moddy is her amalgam of Mommy and Daddy because she can’t ever choose just one of us, but we also weren’t important enough to make the list individually because she wanted to be sure she didn’t leave teachers off the list. I asked what everyone thought of this shirt at school, and I was sad to hear that she said she kept it covered up most of the day so people wouldn’t ask her questions about it. I wish she’d worn it more proudly because she’s so cool.
If I’d worn a fluorescent green shirt with a list of things I think are awesome today, I would have chosen:
1. I finished reading the first book of the Hunger Games trilogy to Lee yesterday. And he liked it. So I think we’ll finish the trilogy. I’m so excited that he enjoyed it because I love when we read books out loud.
2. I’m so glad the girls had a great start to the school year. They both seem to like their teachers and finished the first two days happy.
3. I put Brinky in a size 18 months sleeper tonight. And it’s not too big. Our baby is a giant.
I might have trouble fitting my three things on a shirt though. Reagan was much more concise.
